This intake does not have the restriction between the throttle body and intake ports like the stock one has. It also provides a much more balanced flow to cylinder 1 (front) vs. cylinder 2. This intake is a drop in replacement to the stocker, using the same throttle body location and stock air box. If someone wants to upgrade in stages, they could use the intake, a high flow air filter, aftermarket exhaust, and an EFI controller for 10-15% more RWHP. If you use a Power Commander 3 for the EFI control, you can update it's fuel map, add the LCD interface, stage 2 cams, and head porting for another 15-20% RWHP. This is still using the stock bore and compression. While more expensive, we would like to produce the intake completely in re-inforced carbon fiber, for it's inherent advantages over the stock composite material.
