YouTube Groups were removed from the site on December 1st, 2010. Users are no longer be able to access the groups they own or are a member of. Links to groups will also be removed from all users' channels.Why were groups removed? We are building new group features more thoroughly integrated into YouTube and decided to decommission the existing YouTube Groups to avoid confusion and make way for the new product. We believe group members are valuable members of the YouTube community and hope that all existing members will beta test these new features when they are released.What about the content in my group? All of the videos in your groups will continue to be available. Other group data such as the discussion topics, member list, group name or group comments will no longer be available once groups are removed on December 1, 2010.What are some alternatives to groups? If you would like to continue collaborating with group members, we invite you to use YouTube's discussion features. For example, video responses are a good way to share videos around a specific video topic. Additionally, you can add the moderator module to your channel to get feedback on any topic and allow your group members to vote.
