As my new machine has no plate, can I still use it on the road? I have insurance. ( traffic) There is a temporary ( paper) taped on the back with the Reg number, is that enough for the police?
When I checked the info at ( Transport Styrelsen) its still registered to the dealer, but the traffic insurance is in my name.

Hi rusty :p i really dont know. But i had the same dilemma, i brought it home before i had the license plates. I had the insurance from day 1 but it took a couple of days for the ownership change to happen. I was really tempted to use it aswell, and i did. (on smaller roads away from the city traffic) You mentioned the "home made" license plate, with that and the insurance in place it shouldnt be a problem. Just make sure you drive on less crowded roads, and if you get pulled over put on a big smile :p (or hope for a female cop and put your charm on! ^^)

Go to a Swedeish police station and tell that you want yellow plates. It is temporary plates with hand written numbers. No problem to get one.
