Hello,
How many Kilometers are on your CFMoto?
thanks
-
I have 2300.
-
I have 1200.

My CF rolled about 3230 km.
Engine has almost passed 1000 km, cause it was completely changed on warranty, after a major failure. Not really caused by the vehicle itself. (The oilfilter malfunctioned and squirted oil out by its gasket during engine stress though to faulty mounting)
The new engine is runned in without the restrictions, only the catalytic converter still left, and it runs really good.
-
is there a lot of difference if you take the catalyst converter out? It's in the front pipe right?

The engine response improves pretty much, top speed increases slightly, says the ones who's removed the catalytic Converter.
Me on the other hand, don´t want to destroy the Stock exhaust, I´m planning to build a new one completely from the exhaust port on the cylinder head.
Cause the catalytic converter is located in the weld between the muffler and the rear exhaust pipe, the pipe that goes from the exhaust pipe clamp, a few decimeters in the pipe, the catalytic converter cell system is welded on the inside of the pipe. So what you need to do to remove it, is to cut the rear muffler/exhaust pipe apart, and cut out the Cell system part, and replace it whit a short piece of metal tube at the same size as the catalytic converter cell part.
I don´t want to do that, cause when the Swedish Vehicle Approval agency, which inspects all registered vehicles, exept mopeds, annually or every 5´th year depending on vehicle type, and when registered, then I don´t have a stock exhaust which is approved and road legal, to hang on the bike before their inspection. So its better, but slightly more advanced, to make a complete system the DIY (Do It Yourself) way.
There are car silencers that are applicable to buy and fit on your CF Moto, after that you need appropriate metal pipes, a good welding equipment, (MIG/MAG will be fine, TIG if your ambicious), and some craftsmanship.

Hi,
I noticed one Goes/CF at the local dealer which had about 4500 km’s on the meter. The man in the workshop wasn’t THAT HAPPY because most of the miles was (after what he sad) in bad terrain and deep swamps!! I believed him, because plastics and other details were in quite bad condition. Engine and driveline on the other hand still running well. Except from some temporary backfire (fuel problem) probably caused by driving in TOO deep water and mud.
I guess no matter what brand you buy you always can have bad luck and get (as we say) a Monday-ex. The problem seems to be that Chinese calendar looks to have several Mondays/week than other countries. “Knock on wood” my cf runs very well after some adjustments in the stock exhaust, so far 180 km’s.
Best regards and good luck with the machine. //Oe
